If I could explain one thing to all, and know they'd understand,
I'd explain that no one is perfect, we all do things un-planned.

For it seems to me we so often judge much harsher than we should, 
we expect those who are close to us, to be better than just good.

We set them up with grandeur, saying, "They always will be true!"
"They will never let us down!" And yet fall they always do.

For man was not made to be perfect, that job is God's alone.
Don't stop believing in humans, just keep them off the thrones.
